Statistics: Russia’s inflation accelerates to 0.23% Jul 18–Mon
MOSCOW, Jul 26 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation accelerated to 0.23% from July 18 through Monday from 0.18% a week earlier, and reached 3.39% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
Fruit and vegetables prices increased by 1% on average. Prices for apples and bananas grew by 2.9%, cabbage 2.8%, tomatoes 1.1%. At the same time, prices for onions decreased by 4.1%, cucumbers 2.8%, carrots 2.1%, beets 0.9%, potatoes 0.3%.
Prices for sunflower seed oil fell 0.5%, for fruit and berry preserves for children and buckwheat by 0.4%, for margarine, milk and noodles 0.3%.
Prices for sugar grew by 1.2%, for pork and sausages 0.7%, chicken meat and eggs 0.5%.
Gasoline prices rose by 0.6% and diesel fuel prices by 0.2%.
